Abstract

Recently created national universities of public management have as their central objective educational inclusion, given that they recognize becoming an educational project that meets the social and economic needs of the region where they are based as their mission, one of their guiding principles being the retention and attention of students in vulnerable situations. Due to the relevance of the creation of the aforementioned institutions and their proportion in educational spending, the purpose of this paper is to compare the performance of the National Public Universities instituted in the last 15 years with that of the oldest National Universities, in order to show if its creation has led to an inclusive process in the field of higher education. In order to do this, a brief characterization of the two groups of institutions will be carried out. Then, the analysis, interpretation and comparison of the performance of both groups will follow, with the aim of relating and comparing the results obtained, and, finally, a synthesis will be presented that allows us to sketch a preliminary conclusion regarding the inclusive process.
