Abstract

This paper analyzes the contribution of innovation policies in the technological and linking capabilities of argentine companies of agricultural machinery. The empirical research focused on ten companies of seeders, located in the provinces of Santa Fe, Córdoba and Buenos Aires. From a qualitative approach it was possible to demonstrate that the financing tools - fundamentally of the current Government secretariat of science, technology and productive innovation of argentina - contributed partially to the generation of incremental innovations and technological and productive competences. Also, they allowed to leverage the investment of the firms, inducing some changes in the innovative and associative behavior. In addition, the role of intermediary institutions as facilitators of linkages and access to financing is emphasized, making viable the sectorial and local orientation of innovation policy tools.
