Abstract

One of the questions periodically reiterated in social sciences is finding out who are the agents or social subjects who can embody and carry out a transformation of the social paradigm and implement a new way of production or a new accumulation pattern which allows social inclusion and national development.
In relation to these current concerns, the author addresses a key moment in Argentine history from the recent past, as was the industrialization by import substitution (ISI) during initial Peronist governments, as well as he looks into the relationship established between the then recently founded General Economic Confederation (CGE) and Perón's government, with the aim of adding elements which allow answering the main question.
