Re-primarización y disputas territoriales. Casos paradigmáticos en la Argentina reciente

Abstract

In recent years, certain areas of Argentina have gained attraction for their natural resources endowment, exhibiting productive processes led by multinational companies and linked to global value chains in the cycle of financialized capitalism. Some issues must be pointed out among the outstanding cases: large-scale mining, hydrocarbon activity with the development of unconventional reservoirs and the expansion of agribusiness in the north of the country.
This paper analyzes the clash of interests, tensions and disputes that occur in these new realities traversed by metal mining (San Juan); the intensification of the hydrocarbon sector (Neuquén Basin) and the land-grabbing in extra-Pampean areas.
