Abstract

The objective of this paper is to analyze the Macri Administration's "smart international
insertion policy" project, aiming to turn the country into 'the World's
Supermarket'. For this, we analyze the evolution of food products in world trade
since the 1960's up to the present and the role played by Argentina; then, we examine
the perspectives and challenges that this particular trade policy orientation
opens up.
