Abstract

Through the examination of socioproductive configurations surrounding the production and consumption of solar energy, the aim is to identify the actors involved in the production and valorization chain (productive complex) and discern the socio-political and economic relationships involved. Solar generation in Argentina has taken a qualitative leap since 2018 with the incorporation of new actors (solar parks, self-generation, and cogeneration) and the contribution of regulations and public policies that facilitated this development. The mixed methods strategy used contributed to the overall understanding of the energy complex and the challenges presented in the development and implementation practices of solar systems in a specific  territory (Cuyo regional economy).
