The development of soybean cultivation in the Chaco province began to gain importance in the mid-1990s, to the point of becoming the province with the largest cultivated area for cereals and oilseeds outside the Pampa area.
The present work proposes to address the main socio-economic effects generated by the expansion of this crop in the province. In this way, there are four central axes related to health, employment, changes in concentration of land-production, and migratory movements. Effects that are closely related and mutually reinforcing.
