Abstract

For several decades, the changes driven by agribusiness have been shaking the argentine countryside, with specific modulations in different provinces. This article offers a first approach to the inflections adopted by the contemporary agrarian course in a subnational jurisdiction little visited by academic literature (Formosa) taking as cardinal empirical evidence the information published from the national agricultural census 2018. it is concluded that the provincial agricultural activity experiences, with its own rhythms and intensities, the general process of productive concentration observed in the country as a whole, with the concomitant processes of withdrawal of agriculture of annual crop plants and advance of cattle ranching as outstanding idiosyncratic features.
