Abstract

This paper focuses on the Argentine case and analyzes the health policy projects that aimed at integrating the health system in order to identify to what extent they contained elements that could be associated with a process of de-privatization. By privatization we understand the reductions in the regulatory activity of the state and in public spending and a greater presence of private organizations in different spheres previously occupied by the state. The need to incorporate the evolutionary or sequential nature of the process is emphasized, as well as the nuances that exist in the multiple public/private relationships. For the stated objective, emphasis was placed on politics of public policies, elements of economic sociology and the academic production of various authors who are referents in the study of the Argentine health system were incorporated.
