Argentinian social policy in the 21st century: Where are we headed?
Keywords:

This article discusses Argentinian social policy and, more specifically, income transfer policies from the late 20th century to the present day. The analysis is ordered under the hypothesis that the current characteristics of our labor markets do not allow to solve the reproduction of life of an increasingly larger group of people. This results in a progressive increase in the welfare component as a way of guaranteeing a minimum income and certain levels of social protection for the population excluded from the formal labor market. Both trends deepened during the four years of Mauricio Macri's administration, and the almost two years of the new government of Frente de Todos.
