Abstract

Contemporary economic history tells us that the countries that have shown successful development trajectories have done so while putting in place commercial policies. Nowadays, the possibility of applying this kind of policy has shrinked considerably, due to the rules established by the multilateral organisms and the changes in the global industrial structure. Developing countries find themselves in the need of increasing their industrial exports in order to sustain their economic and industrial growth process. Consequently, the present work analyzes and compares the Export Promotion Agencies of the countries that show better industrial export performance. The tools that seem of viable application in Argentina are outlined, along with export promotion policy proposals.
