Productive characterisation of José C. Paz. Contributions for planning university transfer

Abstract

This article seeks to outline the links developed by the new universities in the Buenos Aires suburbs with the productive organisations in their territories. In order to achieve this, the specific case of the national university of José C. Paz (UNPAZ) is addressed, based on a survey carried out among a group of companies that are part of the so-called FOROPyME of the northwest Region of the Buenos Aires Metropolitan area.the ultimate aim of this activity is to contribute to the knowledge of the industrial heterogeneity of the region and to account for the forms of development of local SMEs and their needs, as well as to promote a mutual learning process that will provide more accurate tools for both the specific planning of linkage and technology transfer activities and for the design of public policies in general.
